We're at 241 Kensington High Street, London W8 6EL - right in the heart of Kensington, next door to Waitrose, and a short walk from High Street Kensington tube station (Circle and District Lines). Holland Park, Kensington Palace, and the Design Museum are all within easy reach.
What type of apartments does Monarch House offer?
We offer 41 fully serviced apartments across three tiers: Standard (1, 2 and 3 bedrooms), Deluxe (1, 2 and 3 bedrooms), and our Bespoke Collection - signature residences including the Luxury 3 Bed Penthouse with private terrace.
How is Monarch House different from a hotel?

Is there parking available?
Yes, secure on-site chargeable parking is available at Monarch House. Please request this at the time of booking, as spaces are subject to availability. This is accessible via Earl’s Court Road - Google Street View.

How do I get the best rate?
Book directly on our website. Our direct rates are the best available, and you can choose from Flexible, Book Now and Save, and Discount Flex options.
Can I book a long-term stay?
Yes. Guests staying 28 nights or more benefit from bespoke long-stay rates. Feel free to contact us on the contact form, email sales@monarchhouse.co.uk or call +44 (0)20 7890 8800 for a tailored quote.
What is the minimum length of stay?
We welcome short breaks, longer stays, and extended stays of 28 nights or more. There is no fixed minimum for standard bookings — contact us if you have a specific requirement.
A 2-night minimum applies to all standard bookings, with a 4-night minimum during peak periods and a 7-night minimum over Christmas and New Year.

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a Flexible Rate, which is fully amendable and cancellable, and a Discount Flex Rate, which can be changed or cancelled up to 14 days before arrival (subject to booking conditions). Our Book Early and Save rate is non-refundable. Full details are available at the time of booking.
YOUR STAY
What is included in the price?
All apartments include high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, all utility bills, 24-hour guest assistance, and access to our private courtyard garden. Selected apartments also feature private balconies or terraces.
Are the apartments suitable for families?
Absolutely. With separate bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and spacious living areas, our apartments are far more comfortable for families than a standard hotel room. We are next door to Waitrose, and Kensington Gardens and Holland Park are minutes away.
Are the apartments suitable for business travellers?
Yes. All apartments include high-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Our 24-hour concierge can assist with taxis, dry cleaning, printing, and local recommendations throughout your stay.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in is from 3:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request - don't hesitate to get in touch with us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Which tube station is nearest to Monarch House?
High Street Kensington station is a short walk away and is served by the Circle and District Lines. This gives direct access to Victoria, Paddington, Westminster, the City, and Embankment. We are also near Earl’s Court and Holland Park Stations.
How far is Monarch House from Heathrow Airport?
Very convenient. Take the District Line from High Street Kensington to Paddington, then the Elizabeth line direct to Heathrow- approximately 25 minutes in total. It is one of the best-connected locations in London for airport travellers. Or ask our team to arrange this, and we can simply add this to your final bill.
What is there to do near Monarch House?
Kensington is one of London's most culturally rich neighbourhoods. Within walking distance, you will find Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, Holland Park, the Design Museum, Leighton House, and the Japan House Cultural Centre. For the Natural History Museum, V&A, and Science Museum, take the tube one stop to South Kensington.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes - there is a Waitrose supermarket right next door to Monarch House, making everyday shopping effortless, especially for longer stays and families. We even provide a grocery bag with the Monarch House logo - just to make your life easier!
